Nakia Cooper, LLPC is honored to serve as the Mental Behavioral Counselor at Marquette Elementary. Mrs. Cooper earned her Master of Arts in Counseling from Spring Arbor University, and Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration: Community Health from Grand Valley State University.
Nakia has 15 years of Community Service experience involving 12 years servicing Muskegon County MDHHS as an Assistance Payments Specialist, and experience working with agencies such as Muskegon Family Care and Every Woman’s Place expanding her knowledge in the needs of the community. It is a passion and desire to connect the residents of Muskegon County with resources available to ensure residents are safe and healthy, and aware of local services offered.
Nakia uses an integrated educational method to service the students at Marquette introducing Play Therapy Techniques, CBT, and Talk Therapy. As a longtime resident of Muskegon County, Nakia enjoys spending time admiring our beautiful city with Husband, and three children, and being involved in her children’s schools and activities.
