Dr. Melissa Brown, DO is a board-certified in both family medicine and addiction medicine. She received her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing. Dr. Brown completed her family medicine residency at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois. She has over 15 years of experience in the area as a family physician having worked most of that time in Coopersville, and most recently in Muskegon at an addiction medicine practice.
Dr. Brown specializes in primary care of the entire family. She uses an integrative approach to provide preventative care and to treat both acute and chronic medical conditions.
Dr. Brown’s background working in family medicine gives her a unique understanding of how chronic disease, including addiction, can affect an entire family. She enjoys the opportunity to help individuals and families be at their best.
When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with family, biking, and relaxing by the water.
